What this week shows

A Saharan dust layer drifted over the Île-de-France between the night of Monday the 27th and the morning of Thursday the 30th. We flagged it on the Tuesday 13:00 update and kept the warning for two more days. The clearance arrived with a north-westerly wind on Friday afternoon, and the following weekend produced two of the clearest days of the month.

Older entries

For older entries, consult the open Météo-France open data portal, which carries the same observations we read, or write to the editor if you need a specific historical note.

Why the archive is short

Our forecasts are only useful on the day. A kept archive would risk being treated as official records of past weather, which we are not qualified to maintain. We publish a sample week here for transparency about our hit rate, nothing more.
