1. Nature of the content
Fer & Vent is a hobbyist weather journal maintained by two private individuals. We are not meteorologists and we do not operate under the authority of Météo-France, the Observatoire de Paris, or any other professional weather service. Our daily note is a short reading of public bulletins; it is not an official forecast and must not be used for any purpose where a professional forecast is required (navigation, aviation, agricultural decisions, emergency response).
2. No affiliation with the Eiffel Tower
We are not affiliated with Société d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SETE), the City of Paris, or any ticket vendor. We do not sell tickets, and we do not take commission on tickets purchased after reading this site. Ticket purchases should be made at the official SETE website, toureiffel.paris.
3. Accuracy and liability
We try to be careful. Nevertheless, visibility estimates, wind readings, light-hour tables, opening-hour notes and ticket-price references may be inaccurate, out of date, or affected by factors we did not account for. Decisions about your visit — including the choice of day, time, route and ticket type — remain your own. To the extent permitted by French law, we exclude any liability for loss, inconvenience or expense that may result from reliance on this site.
4. Intellectual property
Text on the site, except where credited otherwise, is published by the editors under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence. Illustrations marked as public domain are reproduced from Wikimedia Commons under the licence stated on their source page. The Fer & Vent name and the small iron-latch logo are protected marks of the editors and may not be reused in a way that suggests endorsement.
5. External links
We link to external websites when it is useful. We have no control over the content of these sites and we do not endorse them. We check links at the time of writing; we do not re-check them.
6. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by exchange of correspondence falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.
7. Changes
We may update these terms when the site changes materially. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the current version.
