How to use the table

The first two columns tell you when the sun crosses the horizon in Paris, averaged for the middle of the month. The third column is the end of golden hour — about two minutes before sunset. The fourth is the end of blue hour — about forty-five minutes after sunset — which is also the last useful photograph of the day.

Daylight saving time

France shifts to summer time on the last Sunday of March and back to standard time on the last Sunday of October. In the table we have added (DST) to the rows where the clock is on summer time at the middle of the month, as a reminder.

Opening hours and the summit

The summit of the Eiffel Tower is not open to visitors twenty-four hours a day. In summer the top deck is normally open until a short time after sunset; in winter the top closes well before. If you plan to be on the deck for golden or blue hour, check the current opening hours on the official SETE site at toureiffel.paris. Our ticket pages carry a short reminder note on this.
